Connolly to star in X-Files movie

Connolly to star in X-Files movie



Scots comic Billy Little Mo Connolly is to star in the irregular 'X-Files' motion picture, according to reports.
He will join doorknocker Xzibit and 'The Whole Nine Yards' headliner Amanda Peet in the latest picture version of the hit sci-fi TV show, according to The Hollywood Newsperson.
Details of the trio's roles have non been released, all the same it is understood that Xzibit and Peet volition play Federal Bureau of Investigation agents working with Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson).
The flick testament be directed by series creator Chris Carter and is a stand-alone feature rather than a continuation to the first 'X-Files' photographic film, released in 1998.
Little Mo Connolly previously starred in 'Mrs Brown', 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events' and 'The Shoemaker's last Samurai', while Xzibit appeared in '8 Mile' and MTV's 'Pimp My Ride'.
The cinema is due for release on 25 July, 2008.
